Gives students the help they need to identify a variety of subtle types of pressures--especially pressure to use drugs or alcohol. In roundtable discussions, young people talk frankly about what peer pressure is really about--and comment about other types of pressure; rock music, advertising and movies. Through scenarios, students will learn how to resist pressure and avoid being manipulated. They'll get specific strategies they can use in different situations in order to overcome negative peer pressure. And they'll see that the power of positive peer pressure also works-and is good for them. (51 min)
